What this one's for

ADHD time runs on 'now' and 'not now'. This worksheet builds your personal time-database: guess a task's length, time it for real, and log the gap. After a week you'll have hard numbers that quietly fix your planning forever.

Questions

Is ADHD time blindness a real thing?

The experience is real, though 'time blindness' is an everyday description rather than a formal diagnosis. Research backs it up: a 2022 review that pooled 55 studies found that people with ADHD, on average, made bigger errors when estimating and reproducing lengths of time than people without ADHD, although results vary from study to study.

How do I find out how long things really take?

Guess first, then time it for real and write down the gap. This worksheet gives you a 10-row log for exactly that. After a week of everyday tasks, most people can see their own pattern, such as always under-guessing getting ready or over-guessing the washing up.

What is a time multiplier for ADHD?

It's a personal rule you work out from your own log: if tasks usually take about one and a half times your guess, you plan for X times 1.5. It's based on your real numbers, not a generic tip, which is why it tends to stick.

Can time blindness be fixed?

There's no cure, but you can put time outside your head: timers, visible clocks, alarms for transitions and real data about your own speed. This worksheet is self-help, not medical advice; if time problems are affecting work or home life a lot, your GP is a good place to start.
